The job.

The Commercial Analyst will be responsible for understanding & providing insight on business revenue, commercial opportunities, operations and overheads with a view to suggesting improvements and providing insight into the strategic direction of the business.? The role will work cross-departmentally to increase business effectiveness by creating easy to use reports and providing insights across the business.?

Responsibilities and deliverables.

Develop strong working relationships across all business departments to provide analysis on market opportunities, sales channels, and revenue to create models & identify insights that will help shape business strategy.
Work closely with marketing & commercial managers and other team members in providing data-backed recommendations to support effective decision making.
Use Power BI to analyse and review reports on commercial data, such as sales trends, and create and provide proactive recommendations.
Use statistical skills for financial forecasting; understand the value chain of the organisation and suggest probability forecasts.
Develop a strong understanding of a product driven business to provide insights into the relationship between key customers and product ranges that will drive growth.
Provide data leadership to department heads to increase their effectiveness.

The candidate.

2 - 4 years’ experience in a similar data analytics role.
Bachelor’s degree in business or analytical field preferred.
2 - 4 years’ experience using Power BI & SQL.
Highly collaborative and able to work across all functions to achieve sales and business goals.

Experienced Microsoft Office user skills - especially Excel.
